Video Editing: CapCut vs DaVinci Resolve

CapCut VS DaVinci Resolve. What's the best one for video editing today? If you're new to video editing and looking for the easiest, fastest, and absolutely free option, CapCut is highly recommended. It offers a user-friendly interface, stickers, animations, transitions, akin to Canva, with intuitive drag-and-drop features and clear navigation. For those familiar with Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro, transitioning to other free software like DaVinci Resolve may prove challenging due to a steep learning curve. DaVinci Resolve offers advanced features like color correction but can be frustrating for beginners. Notably, DaVinci Resolve requires payment for auto captioning, while CapCut offers it for free. I tried to use DaVinci Resolve to edit a video and wasn't able to get anything done which is really frustrating, but I plan to learn it since there is such a buzz around its power. In contrast, CapCut is praised for its ease of use and accessibility to various editing tools.

Cap-cut is I think a more friendly editor where Davinci has a high skill level that definitely pays off in the long run. I like both but since I make longer form content and know how to use davinci/fusion 3d editing, I prefer davinci

Main advantage and disadvantage of Davinci Resolve is Fusion integration. Advantage is you will get very powerful Effect Editor (node based Fusion) inbuilt in DR but for every customize effect creation you have to go and learn Fusion very well which is hard anyway. DR is highest professional video editor among available now and cannot be compared with rest as this the King if you know how to drive it.

I like your video. I've only ever used very simple programs to make videos. I think I had pinnacle back in the early 2000's for a school project. Free video editors here and there that were simple. Tried digging into DaVinci and I don't do video editing for a living and it's complicated and I just can't get into it! You get it.

went from Premiere Pro and Final cut to Davinci and they were almost the same thing to learn, ,,So I'm confused how you couldn't find simple things. They all in the menus for text, FX etc. And you cut footage the exact same way as in ANY NLE. The studio version of Davinci does auto caption,

DR seems like it's a better program as far as quality. I have taken renders and put them side by side and the DR video looked better. I started on Imovie then tried a lot of different editors when I outgrew iMovie. I even tried Final Cut Pro thinking since I already knew how to use iMovie I would be good. Nope, I don't understand why some of these "pro" programs are so damn hard to learn. You are so right about caput even though sometimes the video it makes looks cheap I know exactly how to make it work. If some of these other editors worked like caput does it would be so amazing!

Aahahah you are right Davinci es a great video editor but you need to spend soo soo soo much time to learn is not easy but also impossible but at the end is not for social media video stuffs .. need more time to do all at the end need more training and practice.

Like i have been using davinci for a long and long time now i believe my laptop is working slow. So for just this perspective i think i should switch to


CAPCUT desktop version .

SO what are your thoughts on capcut desktop ? And there is no data available on internet capcut support what functionality of laptop ?

Or you want me to stick to davinci by upgrading my laptop ?

5 months before I jumped into pc editing and used capcut which for my surprise, was too easy for me and i could edit everything in one go and i thought i was an big editor and yesterday i hopped to davinci bcse capcut ruins vid quality while exporting and i got to know that well, i aint an editor anymore, and now ill learn davinci.

My Opinion for ppl - if you need an software to edit shorts, low level content - go for capcut, u can do everything in one click and in a few seconds but if you need perfection and are a high level content creator or an film production manager or whatever go for davinci, its definately worth it
