Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2) and HUD AR systems at work in the Kia EV6 (Hyundai Ioniq 5)

The video contains a lot of technical information and live (unedited) footage of the Highway Driving Assist 2 system in action. It has both the good and the less than ideal reactions and assistance from the system, as well as the Augmented Reality 3D of the Head Up Display (HUD).

What's up with the weird and annoying black bar? Do you have some kind of auto license plate censoring enabled in the camera's software?

Also, HDA2 doesn't start until just past halfway through the video (18:50) - just for other viewer's info.
Otherwise, great second half of the video with actual HDA2 demonstration. HDA1 is very similar, it will work in traffic jams and stopped traffic. All HDA1 can't do is auto lane changes.

Thanks for the very informative video. Question: The EV6 shows a graphical representation of the speed on the left of the display and power consumption on the right. Both sides in blue. When I select Sport mode all of these graphics turn red. Any idea what that’s supposed to represent?

Nice indroducing of the assist systems. It looks like that the last winter was strong in Canada, some streets look horrible (Timeline 12:49min). I like to use the assistant systems, but my wife is a little bit afraid of them. It is a pitty, that the steering wheel is not sensitive, because even with the hands on, it shows alarms. For me it is same, I have a Kona and in this car I have only a safety system with the lane, it is not staying itself in the middle.
