Samgyetang (Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup)

This is samgyetang, a Korean ginseng chicken soup that is traditionally eaten on the hottest days of summer. The idea is to “fight fire with fire” to replenish all of the nutrients lost in the heat.

Here, I’m using a ready-made packet from the Korean grocery store for convenience, but all of these ingredients can also be bought separately.

we can use glutinous rice from our country or Japanese rice to make homemade Samgyetang if there's no Korean glutinous rice? There's Samgyetang herbal kit here in our country but unfortunately it's no glutinous rice, pls answer me thanks
