Time for a “are you safe at home?” question

Could be cysts, endometriosis, or cancer. My daughter had a cyst ruptured....which actually saved her life. They found out she had cancer. Took three hospitals.... To figure this out though.

My mum thought I was pregnant in high school. I had three separate ultrasounds. Turns out, I'm lactose intolerant. It was gas.

"Dads teaching their daughters not to trust them with anger instead of communication, such a shame to see"
My dad, after showing him this

Had a similar patient working on an ambulance. Dad was betraying her for being pregnant at 14, got to the point i told him he couldn’t go in the ambulance with her and when he argued with me about it pointed out that in Colorado a pregnant female in emancipated under law until she gives birth. Had a cop strongly tell him to drive himself to the hospital afterwards. Turned out she wasn’t pregnant but had an ovarian torsion, life threatening condition. Dad had a massive egg on his face afterwards, also his daughter wanted to move in full time with mom as well.

Moral of the story be nice to your daughters dad, you don’t know what’s going on and even once you do i guarantee it’s worse for her than you.

As ridiculous as this sounds, when my daughter was visiting my parents for the summer she was unwell for a couple of days and then suddenly in severe pain. My sister-in-law decided she was pregnant and harassed her to admit it. My mother took her to hospital and a few hours later her badly inflamed appendix was removed. My SIL never apologized to my (young for age) 13yo daughter for the distress and fuss she created

Our daughter ended up pregnant at 17. My Husband handed it so much better than we did, including our daughter ! He didn’t yell, scream, lecture, or anything!! He just told her that he was here for her, ready to talk, or not talk, whenever she wanted!! It was impressive how much he loved her. They are like best friends now and have such a beautiful, open relationship. When I hear them talking and laughing together it makes my heart smile ❤❤❤❤❤❤

When I was in high school I would skip class a lot to hang out with a group of guys from school. My dad heard of this and was super scary about it. He found out where I was going and sent the police for a "wellness check" and the police saw a group of guys and me, playing D&D in the living room. The class we were skipping was PE. It's funny now to think back on it, but it was traumatic back then.

Oh God, I'm so glad that my dad, for all his faults, was never like this. I feel so sorry for everyone who experienced this.

Yeah. Some people jump to conclusions. The internet isn't always right. And neither are your assumptions

My dad met me in the ER when i went in at 20 for severe stomach pain. My stomach was bloated out and he said that either I'd been hiding a pregnancy for 8 months or my gallbladder was going. It was my gallbladder.

Luckily he didn't jump to conclusions. Could have been because he had to get his own gallbladder removed or because he was a cop and saw a lot of crazy stuff lol

Had my first at 16, got pregnant with her at 15. My dad didn't talk to me for 2 weeks to not say anything he would regret. After that, he was supportive. Came with me to my ultrasound to find out what i was having. Along with my mom and future mother in law. He even had to bring me to the hospital when my water was leaking. I love my dad and am thankful for how he handled the whole thing.

My parents yelled at me just like this. Their words bore into my heart. "I'm so disappointed in you. You'll never amount to anything but a medicaid mom now." I was 17 and already through my first year of college. They tried to force me to abort him. Even though they'd taught me all my life abortion was wrong, and you should face the consequences of your actions. I refused and told them I'd leave, and they'd never see me again. My son is now 28, a college grad, married with two children. I couldn't imagine my world without him, his wife or those two grandbabies (whom I love more than life itself). I finished dental school when he was 4. I am now a full time dental hygienist and a part time seamstress. I've told all three of my children that when they decided they wanted to be sexually active that I would pass no judgment. I only want them to be careful and protected against std and unwanted pregancy. My daughter is 19 and has zero desire in men right now. But she's verbally told people that her mom will help her when she's ready.
