State Department issues alert for Americans traveling overseas

The State Department issued a worldwide alert Friday for Americans traveling overseas. Sources tell CBS News the warning is a result of recent intelligence, citing threats by ISIS against Pride events in parts of Europe. There is more crime in America than in most other countries. We have daily shootings, GMO foods, and a high cost of living. I have never seen my government care about my well-being, in fact, the opposite. I will take a gamble. ✌️

Warnings from the US State Department are mixed at best. They warn Americans about traveling to the Mindanao region of the Philippines. I have been there twice and never sensed a threat or ran into trouble. Quite the opposite actually - Filipinos are very welcoming and friendly.

For other parts of the world I can see why. We assert our military in everyone else's business with much disapproval domestically and abroad. Too bad we don't focus on issues at home.
