What does a vapour barrier do, where is it fixed?

Here’s the simple steps I take to eliminate the risk of of vapour leaks turning into condensation for my attic extensions, loft insulation upgrades, house extensions and renovations.

Hi Jerry, for brick and block cavity insulation structure do we need any vapour for the wall, if yes where. Similarly for a concrete floor do we need WB and where to put it? Thanks
