Pegasus sounds a little less overdriven and compressed, it lets strings to breath more and it kinda works for that chordy stuff. But on palm-muted single note riffs it's Nazgul for sure. I'll still go for Pegasus since it seems more versatile, esp. for crunchy/clean stuff.

Amazing comparison and song bro! Both pickups sounds great. Nazgûl for brootal riffs and chugs and Pegasus for perfect chord and single note separation.

I can only speak for the Pegasus, as I have been playing it for 3 years. It is not a forgiving pickup. As in you really have to be accurate. That being said, it is a great pickup. I personally like that it is tight, but you still get the juiciness from the Alnico 5 and it cuts really well. It is slightly scooped (and I mean slightly) and that really helps let the bass guitar in your mix cut through and keeps everything tidy in the mid range. It is also pretty responsive to volume knob changes which is really important to me. And it has a unique growl to it to. Super versatile pickup. This comparison really lets the Pegasus shine in it's natural state. The Nazgul seems rad too, but I have never really been a fan of ceramic pickups, though I understand their place.

Dude sick video man, thanks for the comparison. Based on the website I was about to get the pegasus but after this video, I now rock the Nazgul/sentient set. Couldn't be happier. This is coming from a diehard BKP and Dimarzio fan boy (rocked em for 22 years). Couldn't be happier having these as my first Seymour duncan set.

They both sound really similar tbh. It was actually kinda hard to tell the difference, but I think that the Pegasus has slightly more clarity than the Nagul. I like to shred kinda often so the Pegasus is perfect for me

That was rad as hell. Personally, I use the Pegasus as it's the only thing that makes sense for me as a guitar player. You see, because I'm in an MLP themed metal band. We literally have a horse on vocals, it's pretty fucking sweet. So far we've only played a couple shows at my uncle's ranch, but we'll be big news soon. You can count on that.

I use the Nazgûl in my 30' Baritone and the Pegasus for my 27' 7 string.

Both work really well, the Pegasus has a rather unique growl and grit to it, as well as being really tight on the low end.

Both have there uses, the Nazgûl wins in terms of raw power and well sick name.
