In this tutorial you’ll learn how to import an image sequence into After Effects. You can import a Photoshop Sequence (.psd), JPEG (.jpg), PNG (.png), and TIFF (.tif) sequences into AE.

Here’s a super quick recap:

First open the import window (Cmd/Ctrl+i). Navigate to the image sequence and select the first file. At the bottom of the Import window you should have various options. If you don’t see this, click the Options button. Now find the [Image] Sequence checkbox and make sure it is checked. [Image] changes depending on the type of file selected. Then click Open.

Your tutorial does wonders in people's lives. Why?
1. Short and Straight to the Point.
2. Saves a hell of a lot of time sitting there time-stretching each image into a sequence like a noob ~ whilst using a lot of memory, ram and CPU.

My graphics card loves you and so do I. Saved me so much time. Glad I asked this question.

I came back from a guy who needed 7 minutes, 7 MINUTES to explain what you did in 2. Thanks for getting straight to the point! +1

Thanks for the short, clear video. But when I bring in an image sequence After Effects always tells me that it's 30 fps. I'd like 24 fps - how do I change that? Thanks if you see this. (on edit - I found that you can right click on clip and select Interpret_footage and Main. - But can you change the default to 24 fps so you don't have to do that each time?)

Two quick questions bro, can After effects break a video into a PNG sequence? Also can the program then make the image sequence back into a video file? Thank you in advance.

Hey
So, i'm importing a PNG sequence. My main file is 12fps, but when I import the sequence its (i think) in 30fps. Is jumpy and much faster than it should. Looking for a way to get it to import at 12fps

Thanks!

where to change the fps of the image sequence?

I forgot how to open the image sequence setting

This does not work, it simply loads all of the images as individual files, it does not make an animated sequence
