It sounded as though, for the custodial Roth IRA, he said he daughter gave him $300 and he matched it and put it in $600. How does that work? The contribution limit should still be the amount of income earned (or $7k). So, if all she earned is $300, they could only put in $300, no? Or is the assumption she only gave dad half of what she brought it, for him to match it?
