Sonic Signatures: SOHN

Soulful electronic artist/producer SOHN shows us how he layers up, edits and processes his own vocals, and uses Auto-Tune in an unconventional way to create ear-catching textural and percussive elements.

For his example track, he opens up 'Proof' from his latest album, Rennen, which he is currently touring. Rennen sees a move by SOHN away from the complex electronic arrangements of his debut LP, Tremors, towards a more vocal-centric sound — something he's used to doing when producing for other artists such as Banks and Kwabs.
