Prayer is arguably the most important thing that any Christian does, and yet most don't know how or why we do it.

Fr. Mike Schmitz and Father Casey are the future of the Catholic Church. They are incredible teachers and do it with the Love of God. They teach with conviction, authority and generosity of heart. There is truth in all they say and it is received by their audience with open arms. They are The Holy Spirit's gift to the church, us, in our day. Praise God for them.

Prayer does not change God it changes the one who prays - S.K.

First I did ask God for things like he was a giftmachine, now I pray to give me guidance along my way

He DOES respond! If He didn't think of us constantly we would cease to exist. Peace please.

Our heart does not rest until we rest in God. He does respond. When the WIFI of our soul is connected to God.

Know the faith and share the faith.
St Francis, pray for us and help us to pray.

I used to pray mostly for something or someone. I have found as my prayer life has grown, I pray just as much for a purpose as I do just to hang out with God the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit or the Blessed Mother. The older I get the more I like to just be with them.

I pray because I love the Lord. Prayer brings me closer to Him. I praise Him, I adore Him, I hope in Him and I love Him. I want everyone to love Him and adore Him. He is pure Goodness and I want to be with Him. Praise Him always, He is so Good. We were made to be with Him forever. There is no hidden agenda. Love Him for who He is. Peace!

We just had the feast of St. Therese....one of her most beautiful quotes was that while worshipping she had a mystical vision of Christ who told her that in his agony in the garden he took comfort in the prayers of all those, including those not yet born.

It is a sublimely beautiful thought that even now our prayers are comforting our Lord in his time of stress and pain. That alone would give me enough courage to pray persistently.

Superb explanation. As the Spiritual tells us “He may not come when we want Him but He’s right on time.”

For me, just to be in his presence, in the silence and just adoring thanking and blessing his holy name is sufficient for me. I don't ask for anything more than that, unless I am in extremis.

Understanding prayer as not just supplication but an act of those in relationship was freeing. I always thought seeing it that way was cheesy. Now realizing the great grace and love of God towards sinners, it all makes sense!

Casey, thank you for all of your hard work. I am a Quaker hospital chaplain and your videos have helped me gain a deeper understanding of the Roman Catholic faith and therefore of my Roman Catholic patients. You have helped me serve them better. Through these videos you are also serving them and their loved ones in their journeys through disease, injury, healing, and death. May God bless you and keep you. Peace to you from me.

Four months ago, I started praying in one of our cathedrals. Basically it was because I wanted to get out of this world full of corona, so I came inside and started talking to God and his angels. It felt unexpectedly good. Sometimes I think he's listening to me, he just doesnt answer

I pray to God to tell Him how He should do things because I love His very loving laugh. I pray because He listens and helps me understand what is important.

God doesn’t always give us we want but what we need. And also if you ask a question you don’t always get the answer right away.
I remember as a small child praying and asking who was the first person to sin outside the garden of eden. Now I know the answer now. But it took several years for god to show me and explain to me the answer. I probably was 12 or so when it hit upside the face while doing daily devotions. Cain and Abel. I didn’t see it when I was I think 4. But God revealed it to me when the time was right.
