Alex Phillips On 'A Man Given 20 Months In Prison For Yelling At Police Dog”

A 34-year-old man, Bradley McCarthy, has been sentenced to 20 months in prison for his actions during an anti-immigration march in Bristol.

McCarthy was involved in clashes with counter-protesters and police, where he was seen shouting at people and even a police dog. Despite having a stable family life, McCarthy was among over 490 people charged in connection with the riots that took place across the country earlier this month.

Prosecutor Emily Evans described his behavior as "threatening" and said he played a key role in the events at Castle Park and Bristol Bridge on August 3.

There is also a guy that has been sent to prison because he called the police scum. Been given 23 weeks in jail. Apparently he stood in a "fighting stance" pose and said scum. So now being arrested because of the way you stand (they fail to mention that before calling the police scum he was standing normally when a police woman hit him 3x with her riot shield which knocked him over and he wasn't doing anything. So of course if you have been knocked over you are going to change the way you stand so you dont get knocked over again. But of course thats now a crime).

Apparently the dog was a German shepherd and the guy yelled an anti-German racial slur to which the dog took offence, has since developed PTSD and is off work on disability allowance.
