Summer is off and running at breakneck speed! Grandkids and friends come up to the cottage for grilling, watersports and relaxing. So glad the boys get time together and you get girl time with Freya. Take it easy. ❤❤❤

Always love your channel and the family channel! As for the nursery, we never found out the gender of any of our 3 children, so I went Disney Baby’s for everything (this is in the late 1980’s). If I had to do it over again and still not know the gender, I would have gone neutral with more of an outdoor theme with baby animal sketches and trees and maybe elves and fairies in a black and white or brown and white background for the sketches and probably with a sage green decor items like a rug, drapes, blankets. Later, when their personalities are strong and they start leaning to a certain color(s), then I would change it up. We always kept the walls and curtains neutral with our children and only bought pillow cases in a theme print like (back in the day) Pound Puppies, My Little Pony, etc, their bedspreads were a thin corduroy in their fav colors (pink and lilac for the 2 girls and navy for our son), and then with all their stuffed animals, dolls, GI Joe’s, trucks, books and other items when toddler to about 12, they had it made. Then they changed tastes and likes between 10-14 years old and we still kept it neutral but let them put up posters (framed not taped to walls), each had a big cork board for pictures and notes and schedules, we changed up their bedding to comforters of their choice with white sheets (easy to wash and put away because they were the same), and other decor stuff they picked out. The thing about keeping our homes clean is the feeling when we sit down at the end of the day or walk into the door at the end of the day and your body and brain can relax more or less because there is no to minimal chaos to look at or deal with- being a SAHM is tough as is being a working outside the home mom (WOTHM?) but daily pick up and maintenance just makes it easier from waking up to bedtime.
