Hey dude, I’m 64, and I’ve seen master woodworkers create wonderful things, but this is something even they would be impressed with. Incredible job! You make the rest of us look sick. :-). Keep it up!

you, my friend, are far too close to being a master for someone who’s only made 1 guitar before this. super fucking impressed. and that guitar+amp are both gorgeous!

The algorithm threw this video my way, and I'm grateful.

More than your craftsmanship (which is INCREDIBLE!), your creative vision and your energy really speak to me.

That you also happen to actually play guitar real nice is kinda mind blowing.

Keep spreading your passion dude, you're doing great work!

Young man, I don’t know who set you on your path, but this is super impressive. Well done in concept, and execution! My only critique as a player would have been to mount your input on the side (tele style). Keep up your woodworking because at your age this will be a valuable commodity in the future. It is inspiring to see!!!

That’s got to be one of the coolest guitar builds I’ve ever seen! Those decals took it to the next level. 👏

Imagine being this young and already having aquired the skills of: Building one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen, being able to play the guitar very well afterwards and being able to produce a high quality video. You my friend are going to be big! Congrats on having such an awesome guitar now.

Hey Miles - I am a 65 year old woodworker who has been playing and teaching guitar for more than 40 years as well. I use kumiko in some designs, and I use Japanese tools quite a bit.. This wis a very, very impressive build. I wish you had played the guitar with a pick - that is the only way to really get a sense of the tone, but with what you did as far as cosmetics are concerned, I dont think you are too focused on the sound anyway. The art is the thing in this case, and it is fantastic. I own 30 or so guitars, and I don't have anything that is as interesting as your build.
There are two things I worry about with the use of epoxy - the weight, and the resonance. I imagine your guitar is pretty heavy. Regardless, its a great piece of art. I am very impressed, especially for your age and lack of woodworking experience. You knocked it out of the park young man! Way to go.

Amazing work! One simple change I would recommend would be to widen the neck screw holes in the body just slightly so that the screws only thread into the neck itself and not the body. When the screws thread into the body it causes the body to travel up the thread of the screw away from the neck and creates a small gap. If you widen the holes in the body it shouldn't really change much as far as your setup goes but it should make a pretty substantial improvement in the resonance of the guitar.

I’m not a musician and my musical abilities are limited to pressing the Play button on iTunes, but your skills, energy, creativity are mesmerizing. I can watch how a beauty is being born forever.
Thank you for the kindness and miracle you bring to this world. Amazing! People like you make this world going round.

thank you for going in depth with the electronics and all involved with that. I just started watching Burls channel and his skips this part in every video I have seen (so far). it's great seeing your designs and then finally seeing all the work that goes on internally. I have never built a guitar. I am now subscribed to both channels and feeling inspired
