the condition of the gaming laptop market in 2023 makes the 2022 year look a lot better in comparison. The CPU side has picked up steam but the spec and price gouging by Nvidia this generation has meant that the 60 and 70 series cards offer no major benefits for the steep prices in comparison to the 3070/3070Ti counterparts (which are being discontinued heavily mind you) and to REALLY gain a benefit this gen, a 4080 is needed at minimum. And even the naming is misleading with most buyers blindly buying the “4090” spec only to find out that it’s atleast half as fast as a 4090 Desktop GPU. And don’t even get me started on how bad the pricing is in markets that aren’t US or UK.

Not sure what is going on with AMD this year. They had some of the most coveted laptops in the past 2 years with their AMD Advantage offerings. Yet this year those are nowhere to be found, and during a year which Nvidia don’t have much to offer either…

AMD could have dominated the laptop space in 2023; they really dropped the ball…
