Lillian's story: How genomics is changing medicine

Показать описание
For her entire life, 6-year-old Lillian Yuska has been in and out of the hospital with gastrointestinal problems. When Lillian came to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, she had a new test to look at all of her genes. Doctors here had been the first in the nation to sequence the entire genome of kids with unexplained illnesses.
The Genomic Medicine Clinic at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin provides medical evaluations, pre-test education, genome sequencing, result education, and treatment planning to individuals with unidentified complex health problems thought to have genetic causes.
