Fun fact: according to Robert Loggia, on the day they filmed the keyboard scene at FAO Schwarz, he and Tom Hanks noticed that doubles dressed like them were on hand just in case the two could not do the dance moves correctly. It became their goal to do the entire keyboard number without the aid of the doubles. They succeeded.

"You don't understand, I'm thirteen."
"Who isn't!"

That's some deep level shit, lady.

"He looks familiar, who is that guy?" He played the recruiter in A League Of Their Own.

The alternate ending allegedly shows young Josh sitting in his classroom at school when he turns around to notice a young female classmate of whom who he recognizes as Susan- who went back to the fairground machine and wished that she was Josh's age. this is the one i saw in Australia.

"Big" is the movie that made me realize Tom Hanks is a great actor.
"Forrest Gump" is the movie that made me realize he is our generation's equivalent of James Stewart in my parent's generation: the consummate "everyman" actor.

Jon Lovitz is who you asked about. He scouted Dottie and Kit in "A League of Their Own."

I'm pretty sure that "Splash" is Tom Hanks' first movie. A really good flick with John Candy, Darryl Hannah and Eugene Levy as well. Really funny.

Baby corn is exactly that, corn that's harvested just as it starts developing instead of waiting until it's fully ripe. You can eat it however you want; at that size the whole cob is fully edible and digestible.

That foot piano scene was featured EVERYWHERE when this movie came out.

Watching this moving when I was 7-8 years old was what made me fall in love with the idea of living in a loft. Such a nostalgic movie for me.

The part where Josh walks away from Susan’s car…and the camera focuses on Susan…and you hear his footsteps change to little feet in oversized shoes…I don’t know why, but that always gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes.
Because, again, I am a sap.

"Who is that"/"He looks familiar":

1. Jon Lovitz. You might recognize him from A League of Their Own or SNL. He was also the voice of the main character in the criminally underrated animated show, The Critic.

2. John Heard. You probably recognize him from Home Alone where he played a criminally negligent father.

Hope that helps.

I really loved Elizabeth Perkins in this film and how subtle they make her rediscovering her inner child by the color of the clothes.

Bouncing on the trampoline with Elizabeth Perkins is my favorite part. The raw innocence displayed was so charming. Always felt sorry for Susan, never being able to pursue her true love. Great movie, fun review, the limo story got me a little angry, but the world is full of horses asses. Your the best Ashleigh! Keep rising above!

If you like Big, you need to see Splash next. Even cuter

Ashley, baby corn is literally just corn that's harvested when it's small, before it matures. When it matures the cob becomes tough and unpleasant for people to chew but when they're small the cob is soft and very edible so those tiny ones you just eat whole. They're fine, try them.

Damn that Limo story was sad. Well, look at you now. It's because you are you that everyone keeps coming back. I'm glad you are you.

"Billy is not going to believe this!!" I love how you got caught up in his new (old?) Life too. I won't lie, I was in the same boat as a nine year old - why revert? He was living a better life than most people could ever hope for.
