One of the most emotional songs ever to come out of Broadway, and I especially love Lea Michelle's performance of this song from "Glee"...

Just popping in to say the comments here are hysterical. And I agree with them.

Kiss today goodbye
The sweetness and the sorrow
Wish me luck, the same to you
But I can't regret
What I did for love, what I did for love
Look, my eyes are dry
The gift was ours to borrow
It's as if we always knew
And I won't forget what I did for love
What I did for love
Gone
Love is never gone
As we travel on
Love's what we'll remember
Kiss today goodbye
And point me toward tomorrow
We did what we had to do
Won't forget, can't regret
What I did for love
What I did for love
What I did for love
And I won't forget
What I did for love
Gone
Love is never gone
As we travel on
Love's what we'll remember
Kiss today goodbye
And point me toward tomorrow
We did what we had to do
Won't forget, can't regret
What I did for love
What I did for love
What I did for love
What I did for love

i'm sure it was very emotional during the ceremony, but they pretty much butchered the song.

Why don't we see Jill Halfpenny sing more often...I knew she was a great actress but never knew she was also a great singer.

I know the comments are full of people complaining about a mediocre performance, but it only takes a couple of people being off pitch/off beat and essentially no rehearsal time for thing to sound off.

It’s clear to me that all of these women are soloists, not chorus members, and a couple of them probably were cast for their acting more than their voice, and it’s possible some of them haven’t trained their voice for some years. Collectively, they don’t sound top-notch, which is why production brought on the choir. It’s a lovely tribute. That’s all I see (and hear!)

Ouch. It sounds like they couldn’t hear themselves at all. Ruthie can slay usually. This is tragic.

What happened? Did they not have enough time to practice? Not a good rendition. Something goes terribly wrong.
