Emmy is fearless, and I appreciate that she doesn't go for gross-out with serious description and impressions. I saw a TV show where they deep-fried fresh tarantulas and seasoned them with what looked like a ramen packet. The American food adventurist said that it tasted like soft-shell crab...which makes sense since it's in the same family.

That's the Tarantula i know and love. I'll give you guys a peek but as a young Vietnamese boy i was taught to never chew with my mouth open :(

I'm morbidly arachnophobic, so I have to admit that I listened to this video while doing a jigsaw puzzle in another tab. I'm really surprised that you liked the taste of it. I recently listened to another tarantula eating video (maybe I'm a bit masochistic lol) and of the two men in that video, one couldn't get it down and the other just said that it tasted like a nut.
