These two songs have no business fitting together so well. Somehow, the aggression and insanity of [BIG SHOT] is replaced with the joy and excitement of Scatman's World, but the tinge of tragedy that surrounds Spamton still feels extremely present. It feels kind of appropriate, given how Scatman John only made 3 albums before his career was cut short by cancer. He released his last album about half a year before he died, and this mashup almost makes me think of him refusing to let cancer take away his music and passion, his freedom, which adds a tragic beauty to his proclamation "I'm the Scatman!". That sort of fits with the meaning of Scatman's World, living an optimistic life of love and passion even though the world can be difficult and cruel, sometimes even without human intervention, along with trueness to oneself. Those themes combined with the freedom motif hit me really hard, especially with the hopelessness inherent to it everytime it's used in Deltarune. There's just something very beautiful to the human spirit striving against things it can't hope to stop, like fate and death.

There are a lot of themes of being unable to go along with the flow of big city life and the dark side of stardom in Scatman John's music that have a strange kind of harmony with Spamton's character. They're an oddly striking thematic pairing.
