Houseplant Review: Madagascar Dragon Tree - Dracaena Marginata

The dragon tree is an easy plant to keep indoors, it's very tolerant of different light levels, humidity and can tolerate colder temperatures too. I keep this Dragon tree in my front porch where it regularly gets down below 10C overnight and it's always been happy, it will also get over 30C in the summer and it's still a happy lil plant!

As long as you let it dry out somewhat between waterings so it's roots aren't always wet it should do very well.

Let me know what you think of this houseplant in the comments if you have any tips of your own I would love to hear them.

That's so strange.. am surprised it survived that long in a small closed pot like that. We use this variety in many projects and they grow over 6 feet tall . They enjoy a pot that has a good amount of space and drainage.

I didnot know that the stump does not grow in height. Saw so many videos and no body mentioned that abt this plant. Thanku for the info.

I've just bought one of these and I'm a complete novice. I've placed the plant pot in a cover pot. Will I have to take the plant pot out of the cover pot to drain the water or does the water get sucked up by the dragon plant?

Wow that's tiny I wouldn't say they were slow Growers not in my situation may be in yours if they don't have the right conditions they will grow very slow if they have the right conditions they grow rather quickly I've had my dracaena marginata for four years now and it is 6 ft tall I got it as a 4 inch cutting and now have three different cultivars that are all much much bigger then the one you're showing
