Well, I'm pretty sure The Ultimate Showdown was one of Lemon Demon earliest work (not saying THE one cuz I'm not sure), and released on Newgrounds, so it does make sense that it's more on the parody-like side. Still so nostalgic for me though.

I haven't really listened to lemon demon much lately but lifetime achievement award has gotta be somewhere in my top songs ever. I'm a sucker for distorted or filtered vocals and the chorus uses it so well

As a middle schooler, I watched "The Ultimate Showdown" so many god damn times when it first came out. It is a classic beginning of the internet Flash animation. I hardly new a person in my grade, from across the internet who hadn't seen it. The perfect middle school humor of "what if X and Y got in a fight, who would win?"

I can see how as an adult watching this for the first time with none of the attached nostalgia how it could be just confusing and weird and kind of dumb.

Tally Hall! Personally some songs I'd recommend, as they're moreso classics, [though their whole discography bangs], are Ruler of Everything, Banana Man, Spring and a Storm, and lastly, Hidden in the Sand. They have a few other side projects that are just as amazing, if not better depending on who you ask, mainly being Miracle Musical which I HAVE to recommend if you haven't seen it already, seriously.

the thing about lemon demon is that he's quite a internet person, he did early internet memes, early internet popular videos and its the type of guy to just find randomly like "Oh wait Neil did that?" (he nearly made atleast 3 gravity falls songs, none of which were used)

so ofc being a internet person, and famous he has quite alot of memey stuff in his collection

and most of his serious works are often based around some interesting stuff and events he randomly found on internet

Some of the songs you listened to here were older songs and weren't as fancy in the instrumental department. These two songs are from his newer album and HUGE bops though!
