I was searching for this for 35 years. Didn't know the title, only a part of the chorus melody. Still can't believe I finally found this.

I noticed the bass lines as I'm a bassist too...the bassist is awesome. I heard this for the first time back in the 80's. Fast forward to 2023 ...I'd been searching for the song for years but didn't remember the name of the band. When I came across it finally here on YouTube I was so happy to hear it. This female vocalist is so amazing & I love her voice in the chorus. Really INCREDIBLE. I love this song.

Es war eine andere Zeit ein anderes Lebensgefühl, welche sich in der Musik ausdrückt, sorglos, fröhlich usw. Sehr schick!

Von Alf Klimek erfuhr ich das erste mal als ich Spliff Radio -show hörte da war ich sehr beeindruckt von seinem Gesang sowie der Musik von Spliff . Alf Klimek und seine Geschwister ( Zwillinge), Jayney ( Gesang ) und Johnny ( Bass ) hatten in den 80gern einige Aufnahmen mit dem Schlagzeuger Armin Rühl ( Herbert Grönemeyer ) in Berlin gemacht. Damals hatten die Musiker von Herbert Grönemeyer in der Nähe von Heidelberg noch Bands wie, , Starboyz, , , ,Die Wilde 13, , u.s.w. die in der Region sehr bekannt waren für ihre Konzerte und spontane Partys. Die drei Geschwister Klimek waren oft aus Berlin zu Besuch da um bei den Sessions dabei zu sein und es war immer Lustig wenn sie dabei waren. Ich arbeitet oft als Backliner bei den Starboyz und Wilde 13, als wir hörten das die Klimeks kommen, sagten wir immer, , ohh liebe Leute, die Australier kommen `` den die Klimeks waren alle immer sehr nett, Lustig, nie Langweilig und immer voller drang Musik zu machen. Ich habe noch sehr tolle Erinnerungen mit diesen dreien, es sind wahrhaft sehr tolle und liebe Menschen. Viele Grüße aus Heidelberg

That was as 80's as you can get. Amazing voices on the two. And WOW, I have not heard this since it was played 3 times on the American Top 40 in 1987! Debuted 36, jumped 7 to 29, then dropped 1, then fell out of chart.

One of THE Summer-Hits of 1987, besides SABRINA, "Boys", and other Tracks. "Holiday" from The Other Ones was one of the first Songs who marked the Beginning of this (I don`t know how to explain it correct) Thing "Female Voice brings a long Refrain, and male Voice adds some Raps to it" ! A thing that Genres like Hip-House or Eurodance in the following Years brought to Perfection. Another early Song of this Era, but a whole other Genre, is ALEXANDER O`NEAL, "Critize" ! Alexander didn`t rap, but the Flow is similiar. Unforgotten, THE OTHER ONES, and I`m #StillListeningToItAugust2023 !!! <3 <3 <3

I saw this band perform this song on an episode of a American Bandstand from 1987. The video is no longer up on YouTube, but that was the first time I heard of this song.
