Before I read the books, I swore that Ginny used a love potion on Harry. No way miss awkward "Let me feed you and tie your shoelaces" won Harry Naturally. Plus, he went from not loving her at all to "OMG Ginny". After reading the books, I would marry book Ginny.

It always drove me crazy that this movie never explains that moony wormtail padfoot and prongs ARE Remus and Sirius and so on, it never tells that they wrote the map so the whole time you’re like “HOW DO THEY KNOW HOW TO USE THAT” and it also never says the the shrieking shack was built because Remus is a werewolf!! Or that they became animagi to keep him company! Or what the wolfsbane potion even is! There’s a lot wrong with it..

In the movies, they never say that Barty Crouch Jr. was given the dementor's kiss. I thought he just ran away or something. I kept wondering what happened to the character 💀😭😭

Another item not found in the movies but detailed in the books. Neville Longbottom could have become the chosen one. Neville and Harry were born within a week of each other and Voldemort almost selected Neville as the child to kill. This explains why Harry doubles down on befriending and training Neville from that point forward and asks him to kill Nagini if he falls to Voldemort.

Yeah, fr. You have to read the books before you watch the movies otherwise a lot of things make no sense. Plus, as a bonus, you can then shout, "THAT'S NOT HOW IT HAPPENED IN THE BOOKS!" Every time the movies get something wrong.

In the final movie when Harry's visited by the premonitions of his deceased loved ones and he turns to Remus saying, "Remus, your son!" I was so shook thinking I'd missed some part of the movie or something.

In hindsight, they never really explain Marvolo Gaunt's ring in the movies do they? Dumbledores sort of just like, "yeah this ring I destroyed was a Horcrux don't worry about it, moving on."

Reading showed me that Ron was not just a comic side character, Ginny and Harry didn't just spontaneously fall in love, why in the world they allowed a whomping willow on school grounds, the whole map thing, why anyone would question Dumbledore (in the books he's low key crazy lol).

Had to think about it, but definitely why Quidditch seems so important in one scene in the first three movies but then we don’t see it again until the sixth movie. Made it look like Harry left the team and then suddenly he was captain. I was so confused.
