Its ALL solar power if you trace it back enough

I'm worried about this guy in the split screens. Maybe someone should go check on him. Turning flip flops into cell phones.

Hydro dam don't use rain in Norden country they use the melting of snow. Rain is not enough to fill the reservoir in Norden Québec. But it is still solar energy.

Solar is just nuclear power really far away, so it's all actually nuclear with varying steps and timeframes 👀

If we stretch it further, we can say that humanity harnesses power from increasing entropy.

Fun fact: the damn is actually how they get their power in Fallout New Vegas. Hoover dam is a hydroelectric power generator and it was more or less unaffected by the bombs. (Also the story is why it is such a popular game.)

Nuclear is the only non-solar energy, if you ignore that the material ultimately was formed in a dying star.

Solar panels are the only only power sources that's not based around turning a turbine. (that i can think of)

The statement needs a correction. All electricity are produced by spinning the turbine and we achieve this by variety of ways except few exception like Fuel cells, Solar cells, etc.

That's a really bad analogy because I could just as easily say oil is solar energy because it was all plants at one point that got energy from sun and fossilized. So let's drill baby drill for solar energy!

And sun is basically massive nuclear reactor
so in short all forms of energy on earth are in sense nuclear energy

Morlev

So, if Sun is basically a nuclear reactor, every hydroplant uses nuclear evaporated ocean water.

Neil, I’m pretty sure the windmill doesn’t boil water. But who knows, they are only invented in my country.

Fun fact: Wind turbines apparently use steam to turn.

Nein Windkraftanlage treiben direkt eine Maschine an, welche elektrische Energie erzeugt.

hydro power astonishes me with how much energy it can produce.

minneapolis is famous for its mills that were powered off the only waterfall along the Mississippi River, Saint Anthony Falls. one of these mills had a vertical shaft with a turbine thought out that allowed the water to run down, turn the turbine, which powered the milling machines above. if my memory is right, it's 30 meters high, 6 meters across, and it was enough to power an entire building.

if you want a good show to watch about it, off limits, season 1 had an episode on the twin cities, it's very informative

Ah god he had me until he said hydro was solar powered

Wind turbines don't heat water. They use magnets rotating to generate electricity directly

Isn’t it insane how excruciatingly complicated life is but at the same time it’s so fucking simple

Hydropower has by far the highest efficiency of All energy Generation
85-90%

Is it wind? Neil, your rush to sound smart can sometimes trip you up - there is no steam involved in Wind power. The wind Directly turns the turbine.
