Fuel Pump Access Hatch🔥

Replacing a fuel pump is a hassle because draining and dropping a tank is a pain. Removing a bed is a huge process even if the bed bolts aren’t rusted. Cutting an access hatch is fast and makes follow up repairs a breeze!👌

Did this on my dads F350 and my S10. Should be a standard design 💯

Even though it ruins the look of your bed after this modification it's just so much easier than taking the fuel tank off and possibly giving you back problems for the rest of your life 10/10 mod

On my 93 f150 I can just loosen the straps and it has clearance to remove the fuel pump on the front tank. So pretty easy on my specific model.

I cut a hole in my roof so I don’t have to use the door. No I just gotta remove my windshield so I don’t have to use my wipers

Did this on my 96 gmc 1500 as well. But that’s a good idea with the hatch. I just had a bed liner that I slipped in to cover it.

I have 350 thousand miles on my F-150 and have never serviced the fuel pump. But it wouldn't be a bad idea on a race truck.

I’m about to do this. I drive a wrecker for a living, I have about 5 of the 10th gen f-150s like mine in the back abandoned.. plenty of donor beds and practice runs on the cut 😂

I was running errands yesterday and I was at my last stop when my 2003 F150 sputtered and then died on start up. After about 10 restarts with the same results I concluded my fuel pump finally went out. The truck has over 240, 000 miles on her and I guess it was time for the pump to die. It’s weird because this is the second vid I came across regarding fuel pumps. I did check the fuse and relay and they are fine. The pump makes 2 humming sounds when I turn the key into the on position, but now the second humming sound is reduced. So I’m thinking my fuel pump is out and now my truck is dead. Oh well, I really can’t complain; she has been good to me.

Did you go to your local junkyard and have them cut you a piece off of another bed to have it bigger than the piece that you cut out otherwise you would have to put a hinge on it I’m guessing the swing open and to at least cover it up because it wouldn’t be as big to cover it back up once you cut it…

Did this to my 92 Camaro a long time ago. Gave it to my uncle for free cause I didn't want it no more.

Do not do this on a 2003 F150 Supercab (the one with small rear doors) 4.6 V8. The pump cannot be accessed due to a large support beam tack welded to the bed. The fuel tank must be removed, or the bed removed, to replace the fuel pump.
