#thepatternseekers by #simonbaroncohen The Pattern Seekers by Simon Baron-Cohen is an interesting take on Autism. In this book review I talk about his cousin Sacha Baron Cohen and what intelligence is but in the main it’s me as per normal having a chat and giving my honest opinion.

I’ve trained staff teams on Autism for years through my consultancy business and have worked with and supported a wide range of different people who have Autism for about 20 years now. I don’t believe in experts because I believe what we know is changing so rapidly and what we actually know is still so little. I do however, believe that some people are very close to expert and I’d have to consider Simon Baron Cohen one of those people.

Some of what he says in this book feels quite fresh and interesting but I was hoping for something a little more original and creative. Perhaps he should team up with his cousin next time! It’s a good book and a very worthwhile read if you want to explore more on Autism and expand your knowledge of and imagination around human potential.
