I believe that networks did not cap speed test apps. That is why you are seeing the same speed and uncapped.You should try to play a video and see if it buffers.

I find this really weird considering I had T-Mobile prepaid for 2 months and never went over 2 gigs per month, I just went through an entire gig in a day with Wi-Fi on how in the hell is this happening? It's like the data is bleeding when it's off Wi-Fi for 5 minutes.

I don't want to have to worry about data as I stream music when I'm in my car/truck, mowing the lawns(WiFi in the very back part of my backyard drops out, so I just use LTE), walking, riding on my golf cart, etc.. as local FM has turned to crap unless there is a major power outage/storm, and I need info from the only good talk radio station in my area, which is why I'm on the Cricket Family plan at $25 a line, and for my needs 3Mbps/3Mbps is just enough, and as of current do to the "Plague" they have also turned on limited hotspot features as well, but I've not tried it out yet, as I've not needed it. Mint Mobile would just be causing me nothing but rage lol!

The high speed only shows in speed tests try using fast which runs on Netflix’s servers and it will show the reduced speeds

I am home bound and only leave every 2 weeks to go to grocery store. Never have my data on unless I leave and they keep doing this to me every month. There is no way for me to go thru 4g of data when I am on wifi all the time and only turn on data every two weeks to go to the store. Mint mobile is stealing our data. This is why its so cheap. I locked myself in for a year wish I didn't. Also when I look up my data it says I am running on 2 to 3 LTE all the time not 4 or 5 LTE. I am not happy but for now cause I dont leave my home I will keep it, but soneone needs to do sonething this is theft.

That reduced speed data is not so bad at all . I only pay for 50mb for my wifi at home .

I wonder if Mint offers any alert notifications for usage, say 2G? I think Android phones can do this, too, but last I checked iPhones couldn't.
Maybe they give new customers a courtesy warning? Although, I doubt the average user will do a speedtest to check it, they might just pay for more data without realizing they don't need to ... or you are very close to the limit and they trigger it earlier figuring there's a lag in the user's usage vs. what they have recorded.

You use a lot less than me I cant get wifi service in my location so all I have is my phone plan so i have to get unlimited data and 10gb hotspot and balance the hotspot out for the month in the end I use around 40gb by the end of the month
