I feel like these global/countrywide flight problems are a great opportunity for complete strangers to come together over shared adversity.
Like everyone is in the terminal facing the same frustrations, not knowing when or if their flight is going to be resolved today, but in the meantime you're all just kinda stranded there together. I can't say it doesnt make me smile a bit to think about - yeah its an inconvenience, but its also a disruption to the normal hustle and bustle that makes so many of our lives hectic, stressful, antisocial, closed off to one another.
Maybe I'm odd, but I love when things like this happen specifically because they shake us up and sort of force us to look at our shared humanity - I like to think people meet new friends and associates in these unexpected situations.
