I know this is an old post but maybe Brian or even someone else can help me out with this question. When you/he switched from the C minor pentatonic scale to the dorian mode in C minor, technically, was that changing keys? I would have expected the dorian mode to start on the 13th fret, if we were staying in key, would I be correct in my thinking?
