This theme has everything going for it. The strong opening and then the immediate lowering to set the tone to the gradual buildup until it gets to the drums. I use this theme as background music in many games because it just fits. The song is just a whole mood in and of itself.

If my task would be to bring 40k to the movies, i would depict the fall of cadia from the perspective of the guard and imperial navy.
Follow soldiers through this hellhole, with no garante to see the same faces for the rest of the movie.
The solider in his epic fight gets torn apart and the camera zooms away to another solider. A Pilot? Commisar? Civilian? Baneblade driver? No classic cut but a flyby over the vast fields of death and ruin between the depicted soldiers. Telling a) the apocalypic scale of the conflicts b) here an there some Story Elements, connecting the ark, to its unavoidable and bitter ending, showing the cadians still fighting while their world burns, the pilots still doing evacuation runs down to the surface. Officers in panic, commanding to leave companies to die while disciplined regiments wait in ordered lines for evakuation that will never come.

But most of all, i would not show it from the perspektive of a space marine.
