SPSS - Restructure Data from Wide to Long Format

This video demonstrates how to restructure a wide format dataset into a long form dataset using SPSS V. 29. Restructuring in this way is often necessary when estimating a longitudinal, growth model where repeated observations of a dependent variable are nested within cases, and those cases may be nested in another unit. In this example, repeated observations of reading and writing assessment data (TIME) are nested within students who are nested within teachers, so this is a three level model.
