The French government has more blood on its hands after another boat person sadly lost their life last night. By refusing to afopt a zero tolerance of small boats being launched, they are not only aiding and abetting the people teafficking gangs, but condoning others to risk their own lives at sea in flimsy craft.
Under Article 2 of the ECHR, those crossing have a right to life, which includes the right to have a reasonably foreseeable risk to life prevented. By the French authorities not dispersing the tented gatherings of migrants in the forests near the channel, and standing on beaches as craft set off, and by not dragging those boats back, but instead, escorting them deeper into the channel, they are encouraging readonably foreseeable risk to life. The French Government is in breach of Article 2 of the ECHR.
If smart lawyers weren't on such a gravy train supporting illegal migrants who successfully crossed, maybe one of them would bring the French Government to task on behalf of those lost at sea
