As a foreigner from a developing country which has crime, I was shocked when my American friends in San Francisco insisted it was not safe for me to leave my laptop bag and purse in the parked car while we stepped out for 30 mins to grab a takeaway lunch.
And then of course i was astounded to see the food prices in the supermarket and the number of houseless persons (and I was comparing to European cities on both). How is anyone surprised? Petty crime is common but car theft and house break-ins on the scale that was described to me seems horrific.

I'm a conservative, who watches the show 3-4 times a week to check in. I love to here the difference in opinion because I know y'all are honest and want what's best. It's good to learn from people who think differently than I do. Thanks for doing a great job

I am beating a dead horse but the Democratic party died when they crushed Bernies run for POTUS. The man has so much to be justifiably angry about, but all he does is bang out his policy ideas and calls out all the stupid shit people do on both sides of the aisle. He could be living a nice life as a private citizen, but he is driven to share the truth and be at least some resistance to the status quo.

Every single member of my family living in LA County has had their home burglarized. That's 100%. The police didn't even bother showing up, just told them to come down to the station and fill out a report. I'll wager that the number of unreported crimes is 3-4x the official crime stats.

I live in Portland Or in the early 2000 my car was broken into. I called cops they showed up in 30 minutes and made a report.
last year a tree fell on my house and my home was looted cops wouldn't even talk to me. I had to fill out a police report online
even told them on the police report who was selling my stuff on face book market place nothing happened.
crime is just harder to even report that's why rates are down.

I live in Seattle. They say crime is down. It isn’t. People just stopped calling the cops or reporting crimes because nothing happens. Crime problem solved, right?

What’s even more infuriating is rich liberals from the suburbs try and tell us how to run the cities that we live in. They say “homeless people are our neighbors” while living in a gated Community, or a suburban with no sidewalks.

A lesson from history. Back in the 1930s, the Dust Bowl was ravaging the western and midwest states. Nobody cared. It wasn't until the dust storms reached the east coast cities that politicians, and people in general, decided to deal with the environmental disaster.

Same, more or less, happened with the illegal migrant crisis. It wasn't until the border states began sending migrants to sanctuary cities that people started to give a shit about the problem. Democrats, however, refused to acknowledge it and called everyone who raised concern a racist.

Now it's too late for progressives to change course, because they insisted on progressing themselves off a cliff.

The Great Woke Choke is finally here, and pretty much the entire planet is celebrating.

They miss the point. Crime isn't actually significantly up (even from like 10 years ago, not just the 90's), but people FEEL that it is. We do need to address their feelings. However, if Anna thinks that crime is actually up, she should CITE CRIME STATISTICS rather than just emotionally ranting about "We all see it! We've been saying it! People's catalytic converters are getting stolen! People are being attacked!"
