Never heard this level of detail your historical recounts are incredible.

Please don’t stop!

This is the most underrated encounter of the Late Republic. An extremely well informed Germanic leader gives Caesar legitimate pause while he flips the script by forcing a battle before Ariovistas thinks it should be fought. Not again until the 5th century would any foreign leader be able to have spies in the heart of the empire. Though I've always wondered if Parthia employed strategic espionage in Rome's eastern holdings.

Your explanation of the motivations behind the actions of the various players in this history, especially the financial ones, fills in a lot of missing blanks left open by preceding [popular] histories of this era and is most refreshing! At last. the full story is told! Keep it up. 😉👍📜📚

The epic intro works for all things Caesar, but the kazoo intro should be for all things Boni.

Will you mention that it was Caesar himself who invented the name German? He saw the Gauls and 'Germans' as the same people. But the German/Gaul people in Gaul had mixed with the Celts already there centuries before hand. So the name 'German' in Latin means genuine, pure, authentic. As Caesar saw the Gaulish people in Germany as a 'purer' breed, not mixed with the Celts.

The germanic speakers didn't ride horses, they ate them for food, like big dear. This shows that Ariovistus was not a "native germanic speaker".

intro music is very nice, like the intro music to Jordan Peterson's videos.

I swear I'm gonna stop with the music partisanship but as a proactive suggestion, what about some of the leader theme music from old civilization games?

Just about done with youtube.
Yeah, yeah, I love it that you continually replay the video I just watched. Yes, Google, we love watching the same video over, and over.
Hey, here's a suggestion, try playing a video we didn't just watch.
Must be at least 50 I have downloaded.
No, you're right. Replaying the same video over whenever "auto" is enabled is a winning strategy!
Let me know how that works out.
