China surpasses 100 deaths in single day bringing the death toll over 1,000

For the first time, the number of daily deaths from the novel coronavirus in China has topped 100 and the death toll in China is now over one-thousand.
Chinese authorities say there are more than 42 thousand confirmed cases across China,... most of them in Hubei Province.
As millions of Chinese are set to return to work following the end of the extended Lunar New Year holiday, the Chinese government is strengthening its quarantine measures to curb further spread of the virus.
Meanwhile according to South China Morning Post on Tuesday, some 1-hundred residents have evacuated from an apartment building in Hong Kong,... raising the possibility of aerosol infection through pipes.

Chinese Govt. should stop repression and internment of China’s Muslim minority. They should deal muslims like humans. In such epidemic they need to learn and should seek repentance from our Allah Almighty about their sin of unjust oppression against muslims and Islam. In my opinion, the main problem associated with this disease isn't necessary the rate of infection, the mode of transmission, or even its lethality; the main problem is the fact that this highly contagious, deadly virus had its epicenter within China, one of the main (if not the foremost) producers of goods in the world. If people can't get to work as a result of mass quarantining and illness and if factories aren't able to operate as a result of domestic supply chains being cut off, we're talking about a global financial disaster resulting from economic hyperstagnation (massive overpricing of goods and services that are not available). If the current socioeconomic trends we've witnessed thus far are factored in over the course of the next three months, factoring in the actual liquid cash that small-medium enterprises actually have available, 85% of said business could close within China, which would effectively wipe out nearly HALF of China's GDP. Then there's the issue with the legal ramifications of contract breaches as a result of companies failing to meet quotas, which will almost certainly be meted out with China overprinting its currency. If and when that happens, there be dragons.

In short, even if the virus never reaches certain countries, the aftereffects of a crippled Chinese economy on the world will be catastrophic.
