14 or 15000 may be a conservative estimate, when a factory kills of manufacturing, it also effects part makers, raw material suppliers, truck/courier drivers, plus the lack of spending by those out of a job effects the wider economy and community in many ways ,
some towns that rely on industry, end up being either ghettos or ghost towns sadly .

I live very close to the GM Plant in Oshawa, Ontario, and the closure of GM's assembly plant made front-page headlines of every media outlet here in Canada.
Even though the brand image of GM has tainted among motorists, it is hard to say goodbye to an automotive manufacturer to whom we have grown accustomed to; whether it be the gas-guzzling V8 Hummer, or the Chevy Volt, they shall be missed.
