'Dune' was my latest cinematic collective experience - the audience were completely swept up in it, and when I left the cinema, the images, sounds and feelings all followed me home.

When he mentioned the memories part all I could think of was the many movies I used to see in theaters when I was younger and with all my friends and how much fun I had, but I also remember a lot of the movie. I watch movies now and can barely remember what happened even if I saw it just a week ago and it’s nowhere near as fun as being out with your friends. He’s got a really good point here

This is why I miss midnight premieres.

This is so important and he said this perfectly. Going to the movies is an experience. For me, some of the most vivid memories are sitting in a theater. When I went to see A Quiet Place on opening night and within the first 4 minutes everyone in that packed theater all put down there snacks because they didn’t want to make noise. When I went to see Avengers: Infinity War on opening night and everyone in that packed theater stood up and cheered every time their favorite characters came on screen. When I went to see The Lighthouse on opening night and the theater couldn’t stop talking when the movie ended, questioning what they just watched. When I went to see LOTR Return of the King and the whole theater burst into tears when the entire kingdom bows to 4 little hobbits. Powerful memories

I remember walking out of the theater after Goodfellas and strangers were telling each other how much they loved the movie and discussing their favorite scenes.

Tarantino has this amazing observational wisdom. He also has a tonal quality that makes it so hard for me to listen to.

I remember watching Jurassic Park when it first came out. Mainly because my Dad told another guy to "f*** off" when he claimed we were sitting in his seats.

He is exactly right, I still love to go to the cinema so I can become part of the story I am watching. Now badly written stories really drag me out of it but still fun nonetheless. The last big collective moment I experienced was during Endgame, it felt like we were all in it together, it was amazing.

I dig what he is saying when I saw Batman 89’ I was a small child like 8 years old. I can remember the excitement of standing in line and the opening credits. You feel more hyped when there is a crowd feeling the same around you.

I'll never forget Revenge of the Sith opening night at the theatre

100% correct. Man, I saw Pulp Fiction in the theatre (at the same movie house, in fact) three times. Each time the experience broadened not just because I saw more and more of the nuanced details in the movie but because the audience got better and better each time. Bowles Crossing 12, Littleton, Colorado. Some of the best nights of entertainment in my life. A collective, absolutely.

My best friend Nick and I went to see Star Wars on opening day, and it was magical. We've since seen every Star Wars movie on opening day together, even though we live in different states. The last ones weren't really worth it, but seeing it together with him and everyone else made the experience worthwhile. So yeah, I totally agree.

Ooof I never forget the first time I saw Inglorious Basterdz in the theatre. Went with friends, some of whom had already seen it once. The first scene with Landa finished, and I just looked at my friend in awe of what I just watched! Unforgettable

Everyone please, please keep supporting cinemas and implore those around you to do the same. A lot of us will only realise how magical the cinemas is by the time we lose them forever.

Joker gave me the best cinema experience, everything about the movie not only gave me chills but also opened up my minds, where it also got full standing ovation with shouts after the movie ended. Mind u that happened in Malaysia, we aint clap for nothing here.
