Honestly, I have been using Vaseline around my eyes since I’m 16. I’m 41 and barely have any eye wrinkles.

Yeah..i'm always baffled to think the price of 5ml of eyecream is more expensive than a50ml of face cream. 😅

Wow! 🤯 I started doing that once I ran out of eye cream and noticed my eyes were still looking just as good. 🤔 I’m glad to know I can continue doing so. Thanks for the info! ❤

Not an eye cream beauty secret, but a skincare secret given to me by my grandmother and confirmed by a dermatologist: baby bottom cream aka baby diaper cream.

I’m very light skinned and easily get irritated skin from the sun or wind, even when frequently applying sunscreen. My skin feels tight, is flushed and often dry when this happens. Applying baby bottom cream before going to bed is a godsend. It’s very gentle, a good occlusive and contains zinc, which helps to calm the skin. It leaves a white cast, so I look like a shiny ghost but the next morning my skin looks fresh, dewy and all calmed down.

Apply on gently cleansed skin, and make sure to gently clean off all residue the next morning before applying fresh skincare for the new day.

If the skin underneath your nose gets irritated when you have a very runny nose (when you have a cold for example), apply colourless lip balm or vaseline during the day to avoid the skin from getting too damaged by the moisture, frequent rubbing when blowing your nose etc. At night, apply the baby diaper cream again.

I have stop buying eye cream/ serum long time ago bcoz I think it is ridiculous to get different products for that small patch of skin that is also on my face. It very, very, VERY impractical.

Agreed but there are some if's:
1)most face creams unfortunately contain perfume ingredients, and around eyes they can be even more irritating. Its easier to find eye cream without fragrance and irritants.
2)if you are acne prone and use a light moisturiser or a gel or something that contains Mattifying or acne fighting ingredients then YOU NEED some kind of separate moituriser for eye area (not saying it needs to be a eye cream but an richer and gentle formula). Eye creams for aging eyes often have different oils in them, and so your overall face coudnt handle such heavy cream (clogs pores)

But for Milia concern isn't eye cream with peptides are more useful? As my cerave has Ceramides But no peptides. And I see fine lines now under my eyes as well and cerave Moisturising lotion doesn't SEEM enough

While this is unfortunately true for many eye creams, if you pick one with good ingredients and a rich formula and texture, it's worth it.
Not sure you can get this where you are but I use Martina Gebhardt "eye care" eye cream, it's organic but not vegan with beeswax, Avocado oil etc. ... 👍

The only helpful tidbit I have is whatever one uses under their eyes just know that area is prone to Milia. Milia may develop anywhere... but Milia are those small cystic bumps that are hard to get rid of.
