Could still be any dead electric rodent. I feel the eleMice are bred like puppies into different forms we see in all the regions to their own level of cuteness but never get to Pikachu levels of popularity. Hence why Pikachu are practically in every region too (outside of marketing and all).

I believe that under the sheet is a shroomish. Since it doesnt have a head and the head is just a prop that means the creature inside is very small. The eyes are very closely shaped to shroomish’s. But the things that really sells it us the pattern on the bottom of the sheet which is exactly the same as the spikes on the circumference of shroomish.

I think it’s clefairy because it’s a diary type and clefairy was gonna be the main character instead of pikachu

If this is true (not saying it is) a reaosn it could be lighter and smaller is that the manifestation of a soul can be smaller and probably weigh less than the body

Another one was that mimikyu is actually a clafairy as clefairy was meant to be ashes pokemon but then they chose Pikachu and clefairy wants revenge, also explains the fairy type

I feel the height and weight could still make sense. The disguise we can see is taller than the crature beneath it, adding height. And when something deis it will evebtually loose its weight so i think it could still make sense.

I had a nightmare when I was young where my sister was having a sleep over and one of her friends bags was mimicu and it was coming to get me (this was before I knew about Pokémon) so I scream and tried running (but this was a dream so it wasn’t happening) and than I woke up and a year later discovered Pokémon😍 and probably 3 months later I saw a mimicu card and immediately felt scared

Ive always bleived the mimikyu is porygon theory Especially team rockets mimikyu

It makes sense because ghosts souls come out and sre smaller than the body
