Prostaglandins are the reason you get dark patched and thick hair in pregnancy. I imagine there are other things that happen to people. Because pregnancy is ccrraazzzyy and different for everyone.

The internet would’ve told you, my dear. I looked it up when someone in an MLM tried to sell me that - being in an MLM was reason enough for me to be skeptical, but I would research anything that is placed near my eyeballs. There are lawsuits over the dangers of lash serums. Don’t count on salespeople to fully disclose risks.

Grandelash serum (with prostaglandins) ruined my orbital area in my late 20s, but my lashes became impossibly long! After i stopped it, the lashes slowly returned to regular length, but the darkness stayed for a year. And the fat loss was permanent. What about other proven hair growth methods, like minoxidil? Men who use it on their hair usually report longer lashes and thicker eyebrows because of thr drip down. I wonder what those side effects are. Edit: fat loss was not significant; I stopped after noticing (if I hadn't stopped, maybe it would have continued). I was most concerned with the dark eyelids.

I've been using castor oil. It's been great! They look thicker and longer! I do have to be careful to thoroughly wash the skin around my eyes as it does tend to clog pores but I haven't had huge breakouts bc of it despite having oily skin in the first place. The acne is mainly enlarged sebaceous filaments under the eyes and on my temples near my eyes.

Only put it on the upper lash line. For me the far loss on the eyes was amazing since I had too much fat there naturally.

This is interesting. I have naturally very long eyelashes and dark circles under my eyes despite a good diet and enough sleep. Could that mean I have higher levels of prostaglandin?

So true, anyone that doesn’t believe this is silly . I lost so much fat under my eyes in my EARLY 20’s ! I accepted it back then as just aging . But then found out it’s caused by my castor oil consumption. Now i stopped using castor oil on my lashes/brows ( avoiding the eye area) but ill never get my “ fat back” which seriously ages you a decade … i still usr tiny bit of castor oil on my face at night after tret, never never around my eyes .

I use vasaline or aquaphor on my lashes and its works, its cheap, and is moisturizing my underyes. But if your prone to milia from product build up you might want to appy it with a clean spoolie to avoid the under eyes
