Hello!! In this tutorial I will try to show you how to make this simple calculator. I will use ATmega 328p microcontroler. I will borrow MCU from Arduino UNO. So we will make Arduino on perf board.
This calculator has only simple functions (+, -, *, /), it supports decimal numbers and it can be reprogram or modify as you want. This video will be longer than usual because I will try to give you detailed instructions how to build and program this calculator.

Nowadays you can basically make everything. That's dope.

When I get a job, I'm building a robot. I don't even care.

Thanks for doing this video, this was a fun build, and was very informative to how to go about writing code for a calculator.
I'm developing my own calculator, after analyzing your code I have a very good idea which direction to go with my programming.

you should implement games into the code so you can play on lessons haha

You give the wrong pin numbers for the analogue pins on the 386. I know what you mean but some may think you mean the actual pin numbers on the chip! I am going to build this and try it once I have all the parts as it is a cool toy for the work bench! Did you write the code yourself? Well done!

Well, since I made it to that point, here I am. :P
Great project. My son and I watched through and now I'll be digging through my parts to see what oled I can substitute. I particularly liked that fact that you concentrated on making a working product, not a finished product. I think we will use the old nokia screen to make math that matches with the way he is learning it now. Great overall project that leaves a lot of room for modification. Thanks for sharing it. :)

What did you use for the standoffs and screws that hold the 2 boards together.

At my job i'm using a calculator all day and it's kinda boring, but with this i will make my own calculator. instead of normal buttons i will use mechanical switches from a desktop keyboard an some rgb lights. all this is unnecessary, but it will be cooler xd
