there is indeed a spectra fashion pack from g1 with very similar sunglasses! they’re opaque silver. i don’t have this doll yet but when i do get her, i think i want to make her some new chain accessories with actual metal chains. the plastic ones never seem to sit the way i want. also i love seeing people being excited about things they love, thank you for showing us this doll and your excitement for her!

She's VERY similar to Midnight Runway Spectra. Absolutely love her, she's ethereal. 🥰 (I have the Storm Twins too! I've never been a fan of giant headed dolls, but the color palette and fashions, AND the quality/sewing job got me.)

Your rubric has been really helping me with my collection! I was just about to purchase Dead Fast Ghoulia and even had her in my cart. It turns out her score was 15. I guess I really was only going to buy her because of the hype of the moment. This Spectra gets almost a perfect score for me!

Spectra is easily my favorite of G3. I lost my marbles when I found her at Target! I purchased her immediately and then came back the next day for two more. I hope we get more Spectra dolls, I think they really did her justice. Fingers crossed for Scarah too!

I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t know how to pronounce Ruin 😂 Oh good I’m also glad to know I can’t tell hair fibers—I’ve watched guides too and other YouTubers but my fingers just can’t tell the difference most days 😅 I love how the sleeves and train is a separate piece from her romper. Nice video!! I really really like her...but we are not getting her soon in europe. Just imagine that we havent got Venus or Catty (signature Toralei, some core refresh, Monsterfest and Monsterball just swowed up in Greece...and also Skelita howliday 2024 ????) I will have to wait untill when she comes because my budget is very tight (it aways is) and I dont want to pay custom fees and high postage to get her from Amazon. But I am kind of liking the monsterfest Cleo and Clawdeen and core refresh Cleo (that one Ohhhh) and even though I said no 2nd doll for each character, I am saved but the fact that my doll piggybank has money only for one of these...These G3 are going to destroy me 😅😅. I dont have any G1 dolls because I wasnt a collector back then, and I also was hoping if we will be getting any crepos in europe though I dont see that hapenning very soon, to be honest I was also not expecting to see monsterfest and core refresh, yet here they are . I want creepover Drac, Frankie, clawdeen, Lagoona, cleo and ghoulia just for the comparison of genres.

I bought my spectra off Amazon because I kept checking but she just wasn’t showing up at any of the three targets in my area.
I absolutely love her!!
But
A few days after I finally found her in store.
And all the ones I saw including mine, had this same thing, that I haven’t seen in anyone’s videos.
The braids that are supposed to be going around her head are like right on the top and go strait back instead and it makes her hair look bumpy instead of elegant. I was able to take out the hair band and redo it a little bit to make them somewhat smoother. But I almost feel like I might have to redo them all together. I think the braids might have been tied too tight and now that’s how they want to stay.

I get my Spectra today. I almost didn't, cause I have the Haunt Couture, but I need a play one. And it is G3, so it's different. You know what I mean 😂

Usually I won't buy a doll, if it has poly hair. I depend on a couple other YouTube reviews to tell me. 😅 They said Spectra has saran. When it's dry curly saran, it can not feel that great. I will boil wash that, which loses some curl, but I don't mind, cause it's easier to maintain too. But nice saran will have a waxy/ greasy feel to it when new. But after out of the box will loose some of the greasiness. It also has much thinner strands than poly. And gets static. Only downside is static in the winter.
