In general I don't mind sponsered shout-outs, but I think, the timing is very important, esp with a tuturial where you might rewatch a part, it can be very annoying having to rewatch it, too. The ideal place would be after the main video, but I guess that companies might not approve of that. So I think the best alternative would be right after the intro.

As for the idea of sponsored videos: You do have to be careful about that, but what I have seen from other similar channels is them incorporating the product into the build. "This video is sponsored by BLAH, who make the WIDGET. We are going to use WIDGET to power this project." I think I saw a video where Ben Heck had intel sponsored a video and he used an intel dev board in a project.

Tinkernut, I highly recommend you add sponsors. YouTube seems to be trying to shut down quality channels by demonetizing and blocking videos.

Sponsor thing:
1 Not longer than 10 sec

2 Has at least something to do with your channel in general(Even better when it has to do something with the video).

3 Don't fake it just be 100% real.

4 Just be honest if you have a new sponsor. If your not so sure if it is a good one just say it. We will tell if it is nothing or great.

5 And for last. Don't sponsor the same thing over and over. Just try to get new stuff. So the ball keeps rolling you know.

you deliver real world stuff or projects and so a tech / make related sponsor / add wouldn't be bad - meaning I would watch and receive it much better than the typical amazon "you girl friend has birthday".

It's a good way to support your efforts with this thumb in the sky and watching advertisement that might fit to your current project or my later needs.

I noticed one of my sponsors has a "picture in picture" shout out to his sponsor while in the big video he has a time lapse of him completing something. You could do this format? its the least intrusive i think

Good way to do a good sponsorship. Make a project with the product. Or get a tech Webshop to sponsor you.

I have been around Radio Techs and qualified EEs for a good portion of my life. It is perfectly OK to say uF as "you - eff". Most of them do.
Some even shorten it to "mike". Another one I've commonly heard used is 'puff' for picofarads.

Sponsor shout outs could be done unobtrusively by like wearing a shirt from them, or setting whatever they are inclined to promote, setting it on the desk and you having to move it out of the way to get to work....hehehe, something like that. Or just setting it in a really obvious place, almost like when something invades your personal space that has no regard to your being.... say like a pet does, when you are trying to type a comment into a video on bless and cheers

Sponsored shoutouts can be fine if done correctly.
I'm not a fan of sudden cuts to sponsors, for example, LinusTechTips.
If it's related to the project then by all means, that can be fine.

Give a shout out to whom ever you like. It is your videos you made the content. And if a sponsor is what you need to keep this videos going. then go for it. Whatever you need to keep the video's coming is up to you. But hey that is my opinion.

there is no problem in sponsored videos specially if you do it like I like to make stuff
