An eyewitness captured a tornado churning in Vero Beach South ahead of Hurricane Milton's landfall on Florida's west coast on Wednesday (October 9).
The National Weather Service confirmed at least 16 tornadoes in Florida on Wednesday, and more were expected into the early hours of Thursday.

That tornado is absolutely massive! In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if that tornado is 3/4 of a mile to even a mile wide. That is a beast of a tornado that you might expect to see in Kansas or Oklahoma in April or May!

Where in Vero was this? I live there and wondering. So many touched down that day and the rain fall was off the charts. Living in Florida for 30years and never experienced anything like it.

I saw this one live on a channel yesterday. All I could do was pray. Of all the live commentary from news today on Milton, I'm not hearing about this (it is what most concerns me. The tornado warnings and outbreaks there yesterday were out of control).
