this has potentially been really misunderstood by many of the listeners, .. we can learn an awful lot from discomfort. Of course it is, in theory, nicer to indulge in something that sounds smooth and offers the ear pleasure, but it's always worth remembering how things that feel good can numb the senses. The levels of discomfort in her off-tune vocals offer us a high degree of acuteness and sincerity, and reflect how so much of life is about continuing on, coursing through the moments that make us feel jilted. It's cool.
