Wow. Give Dino Castillo half that trophy. That advice was legendary. Hard to watch someone give up in the middle of a game that is so important. Dino brought him back, and he threw the best shot of the day. Congratulations!!!

I'll admit ive never really been a Simo fan, but ill give him a ton of credit for how he handled himself after the final match, especially with how it ended. Gary went up and was saying like "sorry for being so lucky with all the bad shots" and you can hear Simo say something like "aint nothing you can do about that" and then even gestures to the crowd to give him some more cheers. He knew its unfortunately just part of the game sometimes and its a special moment for Gary regardless of the amount of luck that got him there. So i will absolutely tip my cap to Simo for that one

All I can say is that that final game was one of the CRAZIEST Championship matches I can remember, just from a back and forth standpoint more than anything else.

I crossed with Gary in qualifying actually. Never met him before but quality dude. The way he made cut was arguably just as insane as this show. Lane breaks down for 15 min, comes back on, he splits on that lane, it breaks down again, has to wait 10 more min. Makes the 2-4-7-8-10 off the wall in the 7th and strikes out on a ball change, on just the left lane, right lane was out of play at this point. He handled it extremely well given the situation. Congrats to him on the win. Simo bowled an amazing tournament as well

Please understand the real meaning behind Dino Castillo's comment to Gary. Dino could tell Gary was in his head too much. Telling him to call time out and kiss his wife was one of the most ingenious things I've ever heard a ball rep say. It was a way for Gary to get re-centered, and most importantly, the crowd on his side. We love the underdog. Gary went high flush for the "easy" 10-pin spare. When you let your body do what you've trained it to do, and it's your day, game over. Congrats Gary!!

For everyone dogging on Simo, I just heard something in the hug listening back again - he said, "Ain't nothing to feel bad about" or something of that nature. Hard to hear clearly, but it's a great credit to him.

You’ll that are hating on Gary are miserable people. That was an incredible ending and amazing moment. Yes he didn’t bowl well. Yes the moment was too big for him. But he was the number 1 qualifier all week. You can’t be lucky to achieve that. He is a better bowler than all of us here commenting.

And it’s a great story. It was great TV. Just be happy for the guy.

While Simo might get A LOT of heat from the reaction in the 10th. He very easily could of FRIED out from all the brooklyns but he took it like a pro and congratulated him.
