Regarding the base Macan being RWD:
1) Technically (and philosophically) I don't appreciate the concept of 2-wheel drive SUVs.
2) Being only RWD, I would expect a larger gain in range and a lower price point (at least 5-10K EUR/USD below the Macan 4).
3) I would prefer the base version as an AWD detuned variant, e.g. with 200-250 hp rear and 100-150 hp front. To lower costs, the front motor could be of ASM type (like in the Audi Q6) and perhaps the battery slightly downsized to 85-90 kWh capacity.
