Показать описание
Palm Beach International is a medium-sized, mixed-use airport located between the cities of West Palm Beach and Lake Worth on Florida’s east coast. It has associated Class Charlie airspace and several smaller airports in close proximity, including North Palm Beach County Airport, which has a very similar runway configuration. In addition to a complex taxiway system, PBI has two parallel runways and an intersecting runway, which has resulted in wrong surface landings and departures. This video prepares pilots for hot spots and other challenges they may experience at this airport.

This video is informational only and does not replace the pilot’s responsibility to conduct required pre-flight planning in accordance with FAR 91.103.

Tough challenge. I flew King Air 90's into PBI. Great bird. Great airport.

Landing here at night is paradoxically less confusing than the day. White light vs blue light.

My FBO was located on the east end of the field between the 70s and 80s. It was a great airport to fly in and out of, day and night. I would fly over to the south to Lantana airport to do touch and goes that was an un-towered airfield. Plus Palm Beach international is a port of entry to and from the Bahamas.
