A Disastrous Experience at Dreams Vista Cancun

We recently stayed at Dreams Vista Cancun from November 22 to November 29, and this trip turned out to be one of the most unpleasant experiences we’ve ever had. What was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation became a week of constant frustration and disappointment.

1. Incompetent Service and Neglect:
The room service was shockingly poor. Requests were ignored or delayed for an unacceptable amount of time, and the staff showed little to no interest in ensuring guests’ comfort. Our multiple requests for a room change were blatantly dismissed, leaving us stuck in a room that was not only uncomfortable but also unhygienic, as we even found a cockroach during our stay.

2. Subpar Beach and Amenities:
The beach was one of the worst we’ve seen. Small, unattractive, and lacking the vibrant blue waters Cancun is known for—it felt more like a neglected afterthought than a proper beach. The rooftop, which was advertised as a key feature, was completely inaccessible during our stay, and the water park was poorly designed, too small, and freezing cold. It was impossible for children to enjoy it, adding to the frustration of traveling with a toddler.

3. Awful Food Quality:
The food was an absolute disaster—cold, overly salty, spicy, and entirely unappetizing. My two-year-old son couldn’t eat anything during the entire trip, and even we struggled to find anything remotely enjoyable. The only exception was the dessert cakes, but it’s hard to consider that a silver lining given how terrible the overall dining experience was.

4. Poor Communication and Delayed Service:
Even simple requests, like asking for milk for our toddler, became an ordeal. Every time we called, it took 30 minutes or more to arrive—completely unacceptable when traveling with a young child.

5. Lack of Basic Amenities and Poor Location:
The hotel does not offer airport transfers, forcing us to rent a car. Its location is also far from the main Hotel Zone, meaning we had to drive an hour each day just to reach a decent beach. For a hotel that markets itself as luxurious, this level of inconvenience is unacceptable.

6. Wasted Money and Ruined Vacation:
We spent over $6, 000 for this trip, and not a single moment of it felt worth the cost. Instead of enjoying ourselves, we spent the entire week stressed, frustrated, and disappointed. This was not the dream vacation we had hoped for—it was a nightmare.

Our family left feeling completely cheated and deeply regretful about choosing this hotel. We will never return to Dreams Vista Cancun, and we will actively discourage everyone we know from wasting their money and time here.

The management may try to claim they’ll improve, but for us, it’s too late. They ruined our holiday, and no promises of change can undo that. We sincerely hope other travelers read this review and choose a better option for their hard-earned vacations. This hotel failed on every level, and we wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

Review for Dreams Vista Cancun

We stayed at Dreams Vista Cancun from November 22 to November 29, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Here’s why:
1. Horrible Room Service: The service was awful, and the staff were not helpful or attentive at all.
2. Beach Issues: While the location is scenic, the beach was small, unattractive, and lacked the crystal-clear water you’d expect. It was nothing like the photos.
3. Rooftop and Water Park: The rooftop was inaccessible, and the water park was small, poorly located, and freezing cold—unsuitable for children to play.
4. Terrible Food: The food was a nightmare—cold, overly salty, spicy, and simply unappetizing. My two-year-old son couldn’t eat anything, and neither my husband nor I enjoyed the meals. The only good part was the cake.
5. Hygiene Problems: While room cleaning was fine, we found a cockroach in our room. My husband didn’t even bother reporting it because everything else was already bad.
6. Room Change Requests Ignored: We requested a room change several times, but the hotel didn’t accommodate us.
7. Milk Delays: As my two-year-old mainly drinks milk, we often called for it, but each time it took 30 minutes to arrive.
8. No Airport Transfers: The hotel doesn’t offer airport transfer, so we had to rent a car.
9. Terrible Location: The hotel is far from the Hotel Zone. Every day, we had to drive an hour to reach beautiful beaches because the hotel’s beach was so bad.

In total, we spent $6, 000 on this vacation, and it felt like a complete waste. We left deeply disappointed and upset with the experience. Our family will never return, and we’ll be warning all our friends and acquaintances to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Even if the hotel claims they’ll improve, it makes no difference to us because the damage is already done. We genuinely hope other travelers read our review and think twice before booking here.
